Rabbit Hole Books

A delightful new addition right downtown is Rabbit Hole Books. This Alice and Wonderland themed bookshop is an offshoot of the annual Dayton Book Fair held every year. Instead of sending the extra books not sold to be pulped, the Book Fair Foundation decided to open a bookstore and sell the books for a $1 each to continue to benefit the charities they already support. At the shop you will also find many gift items for sale. This week when I was there they had a fun display of rabbits celebrating the Chinese New Year, Year of the Rabbit! I was told by the ladies volunteering at the shop that opening soon right next door was a bubble waffle and ice cream shop! I will be checking this out in a few weeks after they open. There is plenty of street parking along with a few parking spots in the First Street Parking garage for guests to use. If you are a book lover, Rabbit Hole Books is a fun place to checkout during these cold winter days which are perfect for a cup of tea & a good new book.

Add to your calendar that 52nd Annual Dayton Book Fair will be held November 10th, 11th and 12th at the new Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Go to www.daytonbookfair.com for more information.

Rabbit Hole Books is located at 27 West First Street, Dayton. Open 7 days a week from noon to 7pm.
