Make searching for the remotes to the TV and DVD player for your guests easy by putting them somewhere visible. There's nothing worse than walking in a strange, new place and not being able to find the remotes to the TV and DVD player. Sometimes we want to keep all surfaces neat & clean by putting things in drawers or baskets which is fine when it's your own home. In a short term rental we need to put items like remote controls where guests can find them on a quick glance of the room. It's also nice for me as an owner to come in glance around the room and find them when I'm cleaning. Most of the time they are in the same spot where I usually keep them. Keep things simple for guests by leaving remotes out in the open so, they can quickly turn on the TV when they arrive at your rental.
