Downtown Destinations: Marion's Piazza

One of Dayton's most popular & famous restaurants is Marion's Piazza! Marion's was started in 1965 by Marion Glass who invested his life savings into starting the first dine-in pizza place on Patterson Road. Marion wanted an outdoor cafe but that wasn't practical with the Ohio weather so, he brought the outside in with a courtyard decor and seating for 200 customers. As a kid I spent many family celebrations at the original location. Lots of sports teams and groups gather at Marion's for it's thin crust pizza with many differents toppings. Also popular are its many varieties of submarine sandwiches. While Marion's still has the same menu items it's had for years it has adopted with the times and finally started letting customers pay with a credit card! For years it was cash only. And now with the pandemic, it has adapted to that as well. Customers can call ahead to order & pay ahead with a credit card before coming to the restaurant to pick up their food. Marion's staff will bring out your food when you call to tell them you're there or every time I've picked up someone was in the parking lot watching for customers to come and would come to your car to get your information. Marion's Piazza is a must try for guests to the Dayton area and you'll quickly become a fan.

The closest one to downtown is the original location at 460 Patterson Road. There are 8 other locations in the Dayton area. For more information visit www.marionspiazza.com.
