Friday nights are pizza nights at our house and one of our new favorites is Old Scratch Pizza! The restaurant is located in a former industrial building on Patterson just up the road from Carillon Park and close to Miami Valley Hospital. Picnic style tables fill the big open dining room and there are large garage doors along the south side of the building that are open when it is warm. Old Scratch serves a variety of specialty pizza in the Neapolitan style. The Angry Bee Keeper is my personal favorite; Tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil, spicy salami, house-made hot honey & olive oil. They also have several salads & sandwiches on the menu but one of their stand out appetizers that has become popular is the whole roasted cauliflower served with a Romesco sauce (made of roasted red pepper, garlic & almonds). It's a delicious item to share with the table while you wait for your pizza. The bar also has many local beers on tap to enjoy.
Old Scratch Pizza is located at 812 S Patterson Blvd.
