When hosting guests they not only need to feel welcome but safe. To do this for our guests we made sure we had emergency essentials. I started out by putting a first aid kit in the bathroom drawer that has all the necessary items like bandages, first aid cream & a headache/fever medicine. Under the kitchen sink we put a easy to use fire extinguisher. On the refrigerator in both of our units I posted our exact address of our apartments with police, fire department and emergency room numbers, along with the address of the local emergency room. There are flashlights in one of the kitchen drawers and in the nightstand of the bedroom for power outages. We hope these items will help our guests feel safe and well taken care of in case of emergencies.
