One of the most important things in your guest room is the placement of the bed! We just got back from a trip and stayed in a short term rental where the bed had one side placed against the wall. So, every night and morning I crawled into bed from the foot of the bed! The bed could have easily been placed on different wall so, both sides could be used. Also, there weren't any nightstands in the bedroom either. When we set up our bedrooms in our short term rental we made sure that both sides were accessible and they both had night stands. I know as a guest I like to have a nightstand with a lamp and a plug nearby to plug my phone in. Setting up the bedroom practically for your guests comfort will be appreciated.
